Cricut or.......

Ok everyone I need your comments..... I am thinking about getting a Cricut....so here are my questions. What do I get? Cricut or something different? I was thinking the standard Cricut as I think it will cut big enough for me and the expressions is a big machine. So what should I get?

Hello everyone..... no I haven't fallen off the face of the planet.... just been busy. I am sure you all know how that is. This is just a very short HI..... need to run off to work in a few minutes. I will try to get back here this afternoon and post some pics of my latest pieces.

There will be 4 challenges set on Thursday night and you have until midnight on Monday to submit your creations to the gallery.

Friday night will see a couple of great fun games in play too.....so come and join in the fun!

Well here is the latest layout I have completed......I have used some wonderful new paper ribbon flowers made by a friend Sandie. These are an exclusive Allcraftz product. I just love them. CLASSES FOR SALE TOO

Also over at Allcraftz too are a couple of classes for sale that I will be running soon. I am doing a class with the Basic Grey Archaic papers. This is a great layout for boys photos. the other class is using Kaiser Craft's Jade's Garden range. I used a photo of myself for this one but it would be great for girls of any age. Here is the examples I have done for 2 of the challenges.

Challenge 1

Your Mission should you choose to accept it is........


to create a layout using photos (at least 2) of a family trip/holiday/day out . You also need to use a transparency/overlay and stitching. Also include some handwritten journaling in the form of a letter written to the subject in the photo. The journaling can be hidden but you must be honest and tell us it is there (I understand that the content of the letter may be personal).

here is my example.....
I have used machine stitching but hand stitching is fine too. My letter in on the back of the blue spotted paper in a clear plastic envelope. The overlay i used was a journaling block which I cut in half and used as the flourishy corners to the layout.



Challenge 3

ok we had a suggestion after the last CC to have an OTP challenge.....so here it is.

Create a CC with the travel theme....it can be any form of OTP you like....a frame, a tin, a mini album......use your imagination.

here is my example......

I have made a mini exploding book from a 12x12 sheet of pp with cardstock covers. The theme is a trip to one of our favourite local nature reserves.

Allcraftz Cybercrop Happening!!!

Who is ready to meet a challenge or 2?? We have a cybercrop on this weekend! It starts on Friday 29th August!
