Morning everyone. Some days it is difficult to get going, some days you spring out of bed with out your feet touching the floor. We never know what a day will bring us do we, and each day has a fresh beginning.
Yesterday I received some very very HAPPY MAIL. It was a wonderful surprise. I was lucky enough to receive a package of extremely yummy scrap supplies from a wonderful caring friend. Inside the package was a great selection of papers (ones I had never seen or been able to get my hands on), some beautiful flowers, pearls, rubons and the cutest little owl friends!
Thank you SJ...you are a blessing in my life.
I am so lucky to have a bunch of wonderful caring people in my life. Thank you all Charles, Jo, Sandra, Ness, Mandz, Cath, Fiona ..........the list goes on. I can't name everyone because I am sure to forget someone. But know that I appreciate the touch everyone has in my life. THANK YOU!!!

OK So I am getting back on the wagon!
Well here we go again I hear you cry......another attempt to loose weight. But I have to do it this time, I am so sick of feeling the way I do. I am tired of being fat.....so I need to announce it here so there is no turning back!
I NEED to loose 30kg! OH my that sounds impossible........but I am going to do it in 5kg lost so that is only 6 lots! That sounds much easier already. I am 170cm tall so should weigh around 70kg. So here is to the first 5kgs! (raise glass...chink....glug glug glug...water of course!)
I am going to Weight Watchers every Saturday and I guess I should tell you all each week how I am going?? Yes or No? Hmmmm I will think about that one I guess. I need to up my exercise too...so will have to plan that into my weekly schedule I think. So who is with me on this? Anyone else out there need support? I know I sure do.

What a whirl wind!!!
This year had gone so fast and here we are in March already. Half way through the first school term with Easter just around the corner. Life has been busy...but no more than anyone else's I think. I am loving life, while it is busy and we have had our share of curve balls, I am enjoying life. I still love the DT and love to be able to have time to create. I have also be accepted for publication in Stamping and Papercraft magazine. They are publishing a set of 3 cards I made plus they have asked me to take part in the "stampers challenge" section. The issue with my cards in it goes on sale at the beginning of May. So excited about it!
I really wanted to share a few of my latest creations with you all.
The first is a desk caddy I made form beer coasters that a kind friend sent me (thank you Susie!). I had wonderful fun making it. I have used the new "Bazzill with Egde" to make the scalloped dividers in the middle.

Well I have to run now but I will blog again soon

What a year......
Well this year has been quite a year. I have done much this year but scrapping wise one of the biggest things I did was compete in an online competition....I guess I can say which one. It was Embellished Idol. It is done like "Australian Idol" in that every week you get a challenge then it is voted on by members of the forum, and those with the least votes are out of the competition. It was a bit step for me because I feel so inadiquate amoungst a lot of other scrappers. Needless to say I didn't win....LOL, but I was happy with how I went.
Here are the layouts I did for the competition.
this was challenge one - a sketch challenge. I turned the sketch on it's side.
this was challenge 2 - we havd to use paint strips in the Lo and only the colours on the strip.
Challenge 3 - was to use tags on the lo. I made a tag book and attatched it to the LO.
A close up of the book

Challenge #4 was to use no photo bigger than 2 inch by 3 inch.....as you can see I did a montage.
Challenge #5 was to do a layout without using traditional adhesives...... so I turned my layout
into a pin board.
Challenge #6 was a hybrid layout, some digital elements scrapped traditionally.
So I was happy with how far I got in the competition.....and who knows what will happen next year.......IF I ENTER!
